The Ogden Saga
Ogden, Utah, at the base of the Wasatch range of the Rocky Mountains, is a story of boom or bust.  From a railroad hub as Crossroads of the West, to declining population through the 1980's, the highest unemployment in the region, and now its resurgence as an high adventure recreation Mecca and affordable business climate--Ogden has seen it all.

Ogden City has proactively changed the economic climate to optimism and sustainable growth.  The ORC, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, was formed to assist in the reinvestment of the greater Ogden area.

The ORC offers loans to borrowers with solid business models but that are not yet able to secure traditional bank financing, including:

• microenterprises
• pre-development/bridge property acquisition
• small businesses startup and expansion
• and housing/mixed use developments.

These loan services are complemented with business counseling through the Ogden City Business Information Center (BIC).
